As volleyball is my sport of choice, I have been blessed with God-given talent as a varsity/club/select, multiple sport athlete: volleyball, softball and basketball. Starting on the court in elementary school, my passion for volleyball only grew as I joined club in middle school. Now playing for 6 years in the club and varsity realm has aspired me to play at the collegiate level.
I am a leader on the court; ‘field commander’ is what my coaches often refer to me as. Reading the ball well, adjusting the defense and planning the attack are some of my most valued attributes as a Libero/DS. I’m quick and agile, and have strong back row attacks and serves. As a club, XCEL 18's, I am the team setter. Still very vocal on the court, leading the team aggressively and quick on the court, my sets are difficult to read by the blockers. I play with heart both during practice and at game time giving 100%. Always striving to improve my game, I am very coachable, ready to learn, and practice hard. You will find me to be one of the most dedicated, hardest working recruits for 2017.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. As a dual credit student, I will have earned nearly 50 college hours by graduation, and maintaining at 3.75 in these courses. Not just school and sports keep me busy, I also volunteer at local youth volleyball clubs and help host camps too.
In college, I want to continue with academics and athletics that push me to excel. Finding a coach that holds their players to high standards in both, academics and athletics, is my ultimate goal. Excelling personally, academically and athletically to become the best possible educator and coach will be the product of a perfect matching college and volleyball program.
