I want to play volleyball in college for a team and a program I can be proud to represent. This game has been a part of my life since I was 12 years old and I can't image a future without it.
I work hard and am committed to my program. I lead by example. I am a fiercely competitive and play my best when I am stacked against tough competition. I am humble of my abilities and respectful of those before me.
I am Christ centered and look to Philippians 4:13 to guide me..."I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."...and he does strengthen me.
When I was in 7th grade I decided I wanted to make the varsity team as a freshman and I set out on a mission to become the best player I could be. I accomplished that goal and over the last three years I have been working to strengthen my body and my mind so I can compete with the best. I have worked outside of practice with a personal trainer to build my core, strength and conditioning. I am dedicated to this game and determined to succeed.
I have played club ball since I was 13. Last season I played setter/RS for Dallas Premier 17 Black in the North Texas region. We finished 3rd at Lone Star in the Open division and 19th at Nationals. I was very happy to be a part of Nationals and enjoyed playing some of the best teams in the country.
During the summers I have worked in performance camps to keep my conditioning and improve my performance, fine tuning my landings and focusing on the little things. I have attended Sports Performance setters hands camp and Setter camp in San Marcus at Texas State University and I have traveled to the Chicago area to attend their setters camp Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.
I love this game and still find myself doodling, " I love Volleyball."
