Personal Statement
The sport of volleyball has been a passion of mine since the first day that I picked up a ball lying on the court. As a child, I was a single sport athlete until the first opportunity presented itself in middle school allowing me a chance to try something new. I fell in love with the sport. Since then, I have shifted my focus to become a single-sport athlete and have spent my time trying to better my skills in hopes that one day I would be able to represent my school at the collegiate level.
As an athlete, I give no less than 110%, both on and off the court. Character, leadership, dedication, motivation, and determination are not attributes that only apply to the game. They apply to all areas of life. I work each day to make certain that I display these traits in any and all sections of life: family, church, school, sports, and social groups.
My goal in volleyball is to reach the collegiate level, and my goal in life is to spend every day possible helping those that cannot help themselves. I grew up in a small town, on a small home-place, where animals were always roaming about. My plan is to become a veterinarian and open my own clinic shortly after graduating from vet school.
