Personal Statement (Volleyball)
I’m very passionate about playing volleyball, and I would love to play at a high level. On the court, I am a hard working athlete who understands each of my teammates individually. I am a team leader who brings up the team when we are down, and I support everyone. I understand the importance in working as a team and communication. I’m known as the team’s energy on my club team, in which I play the libero position. I believe I am a good fit for this position, because I am always up for new challenges, and I am not afraid to dive around to save balls.
I always give 100% on everything that I do, which explains why I have grown so much in one club season. After all of the training and workouts I have attended I’ve learned that mental toughness is equally as important as the physical aspects of volleyball. I make sure to encourage everyone, and I keep a positive attitude on the court when mistakes happen, no matter who it is. After I make a mistake, I shake it off and get the next ball. I am very competitive whether it is board games, pole vault, or volleyball, I always want to win!
Along with my passion for volleyball, I am very passionate about my grades. I work hard on every assignment, whether it’s a test or just a daily grade, I put in my best efforts. I maintain an all A average in AP and Honor classes. I want to attend a college university that meets my academic and athletic goals. I plan to pursue a major in the medical field. When I graduate I want to be a pediatrician and work at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Have a great day!!
