Amy Leonards '16 Recruiting Profile

    I am a defensive specialist from Plano, TX, and stand 5' 8". I've been playing club volleyball for 6 years, and my three most recent years have been with Knights Volleyball Academy. Throughout my years of club, I have learned every position middle, outside, right side, and setter. I have been to the Junior National Championships for three of those years and in 2012 in Columbus, OH, I helped my team compete in the Open division where we finished 30th. I also took 3rd in American when I was 12.
    I also have been playing beach volleyball for 4 years for Beach 10k in Plano, TX. I was able to travel to Milwaukee, WI, for the Junior National Championships in 2012, and my partner and I came out third in the 14u division after qualifying in both Dallas and Galveston. I will be going back to compete in Milwaukee for the 16u junior national championships.
    I've always wanted to play at the collegiate level, and I am very open to schools out of state. I am looking for a school that will balance my academics and athletics as well as set me up for the future.
