I was born and raised in Plano, TX and am the only child in my family. Something that always surprises people is when I tell them I'm half Mexican (mother) & half Dutch (father) and I speak Spanish which is helpful when I visit the many cousins I have in Monterrey, MX.
I've been playing volleyball since 2nd grade and have a great passion for this sport. My dream since elementary is to play at the collegiate level and am therefore very open and welcome the opportunity to play and study any where in the country. I am an extremely competitive athlete and have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and very coachable. My nickname is "giggles", which was given to me by my favorite club coach who has mentored me since 8th grade, Roger Craft.
As a freshman I played 2 sports at Jasper HS. I was a starter OH/DS and on the JV Tennis team and made District Champs in both sports that year. As a Sophomore I continued as the starter OH/DS for our JV team at Jasper HS and made District Champs once again!
Summer of 2013 I picked up beach volleyball and qualified in 16U (15yrs old) USAV Jr. Beach National Qualifier in Kansas City, MO and played in the USAV Jr. Beach National Championships in Milwaukee, WI. Being 15 years old and playing in the 16U Open Division was an amazing experience. Summer of 2014 I qualified for National's 3 times in USAV Jr. Beach Open tournaments and was ranked #21 of 1,760 girls in 16U USAV Jr. Ranking. I also qualified for beach national's in 2015. I love volleyball and playing beach helps me play year round, stay fit, and be a better all around player!
