My ultimate goal is to play at a high collegiate level at a school that feels like home. Ever since I first started playing volleyball in 8th grade, I instantly knew that this is the one thing I am 100% sure I want to continue pursuing, so competing in college will only expand my opportunities to show the world how much this sport means to me. Moreover, finding a program that aligns with my preferences and allows me to share my passion with others is equally as significant.
My genuine passion for volleyball drives me to be the best version of myself for myself and others. I make it my mission to acknowledge and motivate my teammates in both the good and the bad because building connections with the people I spend the majority of my time with is vital to my physical and mental performance. Though I do not have any highly distinguished awards YET, I am a self-driven hard worker, so I always push myself past my limit in order to improve in any skill; I am simply uncomfortable staying comfortable if it means I am not progressing.
I consider myself a versatile player because I can play in all rotations on the court (even other positions when given the chance). My most prominent skills in volleyball are hitting and defense, but I strive to be reliable in all other skills for the betterment of my team. I value playing time and understand that it is earned, so I always try to outwork everyone else. Consistently during the off season, I stay active through athletic training, private lessons, clinics, camps, etc., and now that the 2024-2025 club season has begun, I know my hard work will pay off and these habits will not go away.
I value my academics just as much as I value my athletics. I always give my best effort in learning and applying what is being taught in each of my classes, so maintaining my 4.0 GPA is a reward for that effort. I set the bar high for myself because I know I have potential, but only my actions can determine if I reach my fullest potential. My highest PSAT score was a 1340 taken my sophomore year, and I recently scored a 1370 on the SAT! All in all, my love of learning requires me to be challenged through rigorous coursework, therefore a more selective school is where I would thrive.
