Kenzie Jones '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kenzie Jones and I am a junior at Round Rock Christian Academy.  I have been on varsity all 3 years of high school, having played outside hitter and defensive specialist all 3 years.  During my freshman year, our team advanced to the regional finals.  Last year as a sophomore, our team was undefeated in district and made it to the state tournament where we lost in the state finals.  This year in 2017, our team was undefeated in district and we beat the #1 team in the state to win the state championship.

Academically, I am currently enrolled  in the advanced diploma program at RRCA and have taken both AP and Honors classes.  I currently have a 3.7 GPA (out of a 4.0).

I have had to learn some tough lessons early in my life as my mother battled breast cancer for 7 years before she passed away in 2016.  My dad and my younger sister continue to support me as I continue to work and improve my volleyball skills.  I know what real adversity is and I was fortunate to be raised by a mother who showed me what courage, faith, and grace are all about.  She taught me the value of a good education and I am determined to honor and bless her memory by continuing to pursue what I love at the next level.
