Hailey Garza '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hailey Garza, and I am a 5'2" Libero/Defensive Specialist, currently playing for SA Magic 171 Elite (#7) out of San Antonio, Texas.  I attend Antonian College Preparatory High School and will be graduating in the Spring of 2023. 

Here is a little about myself, I am from a family of 5 humans, 3 dogs, and 1 tortoise. My twin and I are close and are both highly active in school, participating in our school's Ambassador program, volleyball and track. I am currently ranked in the top 10% of 173 students with a 4.0 and a PSAT score of 1130 (610 Reading/Writing and 520 Math). I am a Defensive Specialist/Libero in my high school Varsity volleyball team with a successful 2020 season.  Antonian finished 2nd in TAPPS 6A District 2 and finished 7th in TAPPS 6A state.  I am a member of the Latin club and this year our team placed 1st in our district competition against some of the largest schools in San Antonio. In the 2021 Latin State Competition  I placed 3rd in Greek Derivative.  I am also a member of the ACP Ambassador Society, an organization in which I share my love for my school to encourage prospective students to attend ACP for their high school careers. I want to major in political Science and someday attend grad school. Along with my dedication to academics comes a passion for volleyball. My goal is to attend a school with a strong success rate of graduate school acceptance and athletic academic achievements.  I want to be part of a team that not only plays hard together but also challenges one another on and off the court.
