Jordan Rogers '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jordan Kay Rogers, I am 17 yrs old and a Senior at The Colony High School. I’ve been playing volleyball since the summer before 4th grade, my parents were actually my coaches. I played the next 4 years and 12+ seasons on a recreational level at a local facility in Plano. During that time, I trained in all positions, but focused on Right Side and Left Side Hitter.

In seventh grade I made the A-Team volleyball, A-team basketball, the swim team, the soccer team, and the track team. I also played the tenor saxophone in the school band and did Winter guard for all 3 years in middle school. In 8th grade I decided just to do volleyball. Freshman year I made A-Team volleyball and the coaches wanted me to do track also cause they thought I was fast. Therefore, I joined track and I ran the 400, mile relay, and did high jump. Even though I never competed well, I always practiced hard. For volleyball my freshman year we didn’t have enough outsides, so my coach wanted to move me to outside, although I am the tallest one in the program. I played as a middle my Sophomore year on the JV team.  I made the varsity team as one of the two middles and will continue my Senior year as Captain.

I have played for club volleyball the last 4 years at Instinct. I was on the 14’s Elite, 15’s National, 16's Nationals and 18's Wild Black. have played as a Middle Blocker all years. I look forward to going to Nationals end of June.
