Sydney Speer '23 Recruiting Profile

I am very passionate about volleyball and would love to continue to play at a high level, while attending a school with extremely good academics. I believe I am a good fit for the middle blocker position because I love the challenges that come with it. Specifically, I am fascinated by the mental aspect and challenge of having to move quickly to block or hit even when your tired that come with playing this position. As a person who loves to learn- Learning new techniques about volleyball and learning about agriculture at school- I take on many responsibilities. I am very supportive of others and love to help out in any way I can. With that being said I am a driven hardworking individual who will always give 100%  and I expect nothing less from my teammates. Thanks to all the hard work I have put in, I have improved so much since the beginning of this year and can not wait to see what level I will be playing at the end of high school.

I am just as hard working and passionate about my academics as I am about volleyball. My love for animals and interest in agriculture draws me towards becoming a veterinarian. Moving fast and thinking quick are both facets common to being a veterinarian and playing middle which could explain my love for them.
