Jordan Donahue '19 Recruiting Profile

    I am planning on attending college and majoring in the veterinary field. During my college experience, I would also love to play volleyball. Both academics and sports are very important to me and I try to put forth all my effort into both.

    At volleyball, I come to practice with 100% effort and passion for the game. I push myself to do the best I can, and I work to improve my skills at every practice. As a setter, I am someone who leads my team and brings the energy to the game. I’m someone who always smiles and won’t let anything get to me. I always try to encourage my teammates even when I’m on the side lines. I love to keep the team’s spirit up during the game and I try to make the game fun for everyone. I have been involved with volleyball since I was 8 and I have loved playing ever since. One of my dreams/goals is to play college volleyball and to continue my love for the game as well as develop my volleyball IQ skills.

    During school, I strive to get the best education I can, so I am taking all honors, AP and dual enrollment classes. I have set grand expectations for myself and show that through my grades.  In addition, I am a member of some clubs: Student Government and Future Farmers of America. In FFA (Future Farmer of America), I am now the 2107-2018 secretary and with that job comes many responsibilities.  For example; along with keeping the agenda and records of the meeting, I will assist the leaders in the organization with major decision making regarding the needs of the organization.  Also at my school, I am a part of the Vet Shop Class.  This class is available to students who desire to become vets and prepares them for college and real life by requiring students to volunteer 500 hours in a pet facility. Right now, I am volunteering at a vet clinic to get my veterinary skills more advanced.
