Maya Wriston '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Maya Wriston, I am a sophomore at Auburn High School. I have been playing volleyball for the past 3 years, both club and High School. Currently I am a varsity starter for my high school team and captain of my club team. I continue to drive myself on the court and off, by working out in the gym and running drills. Like volleyball, I also work very hard in class through my honors programs, and general courses. I have many ideas of what I would like to do after high school, clearly volleyball is a large focus, but would like to find a college that fits my academic ideas as well. As of now I am looking at anesthesiology, business, and law, I want to find a college that can develop both my athletic dreams, but also support me in education to be successful in my future off the court.  

I value my friendships, and family as they support me in many things I do. I love to be connected to my friends, laugh, and have fun. It is important to me to balance my life so I can stay even in everything I do, and with everyone I am with. Volleyball has been an avenue that has brought me more friends, great experiences, and drives my dedication to be better in the classroom, and on the court. I am looking for a great volleyball program at the Division I, Division II level where I can be a value anywhere on the court to make the team better and to make me continue to excel.
