Hello, I am Melanie Short, a freshman at Meridian High School in Bellingham, WA. I have been playing volleyball since I was a little girl and have always loved it. My mom played at the University of Washington, and I've always aspired to follow in her footsteps. I love the environment and community volleyball has and being on a team that works hard and challenges each other. I am a very motivated, self-driven person who always wants to improve myself and make my team better. Academically, I work hard and enjoy learning new things, and I maintain good grades with my busy schedule. My family and I have a very strong relationship. I am the youngest sibling with 3 brothers.
