Lydia Ward '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing club volleyball since I was 8 years old and I have played as an OH, RS, MB, Libero and now I'm an all around Setter. I would like to get a degree in business/marketing or communications so that I may have the option and the ability to work.  What makes me different from other recruits is I am a hard worker with a competitive spirit and the drive to win. I have been told I am very coachable, and am a supportive teammate and naturally athletic. I am also competitive due to being raised in an athletic family of nine that emphasized the importance of academics and citizenship. Along with this, I am determined to do well in everything I do. I work hard academically while attending Tacoma Community College in their Running Start Program. I am a duel sport athlete competing in my third year of varsity volleyball and track as a javelin and discus thrower. This year so far my club team has accomplished 5th at the Matt Hartner Memorial Classic in Eugene Oregon and first in Open at the St. Louis, MO Presidents Day Classic tournament.
