Aliyah Willms '20 Recruiting Profile

My love for volleyball started in second grade when I started playing volleyball through the local YMCA.  I played "Y" ball until I started club in 6th grade.  I have always played club ball for Capital Volleyball.

I may not be the tallest person on the court, but I have a wing span of someone that is 5'7" and I have an awesome vertical.  My sophomore year of high school ball the team needed a middle and I wanted to start so I took the challenge of learning a new position.  To be honest it was challenging for me to play middle at first but with the continued support and coaching for Coach Otton I finally caught on.  The other teams we played only saw me as a short middle but I was able to prove to them I was more than that.  This year I'm back to playing outside hitter and have taken what I learned playing middle to playing outside.

I feel that I'm someone that enjoys bringing my teammates up on and off the court and a positive person over all.
