Hello coaches,
Thank you for taking the time to review my volleyball profile. My name is Atiana McDonald. I am from Vancouver, Washington. I was first introduced to volleyball in middle school and immediately developed a love for the game. Since then, I have continually worked to enhance my skills. My main position is outside hitter, but I consider myself a utility player that can adapt to any position. I am passionate, driven, athletic and enjoy the process of overcoming challenging situations. I want to continue to play volleyball after high school and contribute to a successful college team.
Prior to focusing on volleyball, I played basketball for 5 years. During this time, I developed many leadership skills that have proven to be very helpful in my transition to volleyball. As a team player, I know the importance of doing my job on and off the court to accomplish individual and team success. I now play volleyball year-round, participating in the AAU season, summer volleyball, and high school season. I am currently participating in the One Ohana Volleyball Academy under the coaching leadership of Peter Fukuchi. To further enhance my athletic skills I attended speed, agility, and quickness training at The Inner Circle.
My long-term goal is to pursue a career as an Interior Designer, which is another passion of mine. I have an eye for creativity and a love for art. I have maintained appropriate grades with the hope of being accepted into a university that will allow me to continue my education and fulfill my future goals. I would like to attend a university that will challenge me first academically and then athletically to assist me in obtaining future success.
