I have been playing volleyball since I was about seven years old. When I first played the sport I feel in love with it and wanted to work as hard as I could to get better. I remember going to highschool games and also watching college volleyball that I wanted to be just like them. This inspired me to play at the collegiate level.
I love volleyball because it is both a physical and mental games as well. I like the setter position a lot because it seems to push me to be the best I can, especially for me to give good opportunities to my hitters to get kills. I am a team leader, encouraging and kind on and off the court, and try to be a good example for my teammates and all who know me and have watched me played. I am coachable and like to be pushed during practice.
In the classroom, I try to study hard and maintain my GPA. Also, I do a school to work program, known as youth apprenticeship, helping train service dogs.
I would like to attend a college that has a good volleyball program and also, most importantly, a good academic program. A college that will push me in the classroom and on the court. I strive to be a good role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
