Hi, I am Karissa O'Connell. I am a Senior at Gilmanton High School in rural Northwest Wisconsin. I am the starting Libero for the 2019 season.. I have been a Floor and Team Captain for both my High School and Club teams. I think what makes me different from other recruits is that I am able to see what my teammates may be struggling with and that I can help them by showing and or telling them what may help to fix the problem. I think that I am a big communicator both on and off the court with my teammates and I am never trying to bring someone down, I am always telling them that they got the next pass, set, or hit and I think that is what sets me apart. Aside from volleyball, I have been on the High Honor Roll since 6th grade and have been in various clubs and sports including: Basketball, Track &Field, FFA, FBLA, 4-H, Band, and Choir. I live on a hobby farm and we raise Boer and Pygmy goats, Beef Cattle, and Horses. I am also the 2017 & 2018 1st Attendant and Miss Congeniality and now the Queen for 2019 for the Midnight Riders Saddle Club in Mondovi, Wisconsin, where I ride my horses during the summer. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at: [email protected] Thanks!
