Olivia Karlen '22 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball has been my love and passion ever since I was 8 years old and I quickly gravitated to volleyball because of its ability to provide me an environment to grow and challenge me athletically and personally.  A few years ago, I was very fortunate to be part of my club team that placed 3^rd at AAU Nationals. That experience has been one of the most amazing opportunities in my life so far. It has taught me the importance of teamwork, fighting spirit, and hard work. Furthermore, it fueled my focus and dream to play in college.

My goals in high school are to continue to drive high academic standards, as well as to continue to develop my volleyball skills as a libero/DS. I have been on the varsity team since my freshman year and as a 4th year member my goal is to step up my leadership and  support our team for success.  

Ideally, I’d love to find a college that competes at a high level, but also that would challenge me academically to attain a degree in biology/pre-medicine. I believe I am a hard worker, very coachable and a collaborative team member and can contribute positively to your program if given the opportunity. Thank you!
