Faith Powers '22 Recruiting Profile

I first started playing volleyball when I was about 7 years old, and 8 years old when I played on my first competitive club volleyball team. I am extremely passionate about the game of volleyball.  I believe in leading by example. My goal is to be a leader on and off the court by encouraging positivity and commitment. Throughout my years playing volleyball I was all around, 6 rotation player and played different positions.  A few years ago my coach thought I should start focusing on setting because of my natural born leadership, court awareness, good hands, and being a coachable player.  

I want to find a school that will fit not only my goals as an athlete, but also as a student.  Academics are an important part of my life.  Good grades are not something that comes easily to me.  My hard work, dedication and commitment to academics keeps me successful.  I would like to attend a school that fits with my academic and athletic goals.  I am hoping to major in education.  My teachers have highly suggested that I specialize in special education because of my patience and compassion with children.
