Personal Statement
Hello!! I am an energetic and passionate outside hitter from River Falls, Wisconsin. I have been playing JO volleyball since 4th grade with the last 4 years at Kokoro Volleyball. I started my career as a setter and libero in Elementary School before moving to a hitting position in 6th grade. I’ve played both Middle Hitter and Outside Hitter over the last 3 years. In 2017 my JO club team, Kokoro 15-1, won the USA Volleyball - National Division National Championship in Minneapolis, MN. It was a wonderful experience!
I’ve been a starter on my high school varsity volleyball team since my Freshman year playing both middle and strong side hitter. My team won the conference championship for the first time in 21 years my freshman year and followed it up with qualifying for its first ever State Tournament appearance. We repeated as conference champions my sophomore year and again went to the State Tournament where we finished runner-up in Division 1. I was named All Conference – First Team this year as well as All State – Honorable Mention. I’ve also received an Academic All State Award both years in High School. My other passion is running Track where I qualified for the Wisconsin Division 1 State Track Meet as a Freshman in both the 100M open and the 1600M relay.
My coaches have used the words Athletic, Leader, Driven, Hard Working, Disciplined and Coachable to describe me. I am looking for a university that offers a strong health care program and most importantly hope to find a place that is the right fit. I would like to play for a volleyball program that will push me to be the best volleyball player but even more important will help shape me to become the best overall person. I am interested in schools throughout the United States with particular interest in schools on the East Coast or Midwest
