Ashlyn Funk '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Ashlyn Funk and I have committed to Kentucky Christian University to continue my volleyball and academic journey. I am a Senior at the Jackson Hole High school. I live with my parents Trudy and Lloyd Funk and I have a older sister who is currently a Senior at Pepperdine University. I began my volleyball career in 7th grade and learned how to be part of a team and how important it is to be a good team mate. I have also played club volleyball for 5 years. I have been a Libero/ D.S. since I began my volleyball career. I have been a starting varsity Libero my freshman, sophomore, junior and now Senior years. I have been a starter at regionals all 3 years. My sophomore year I received an honorable mention all conference. I finished my junior year season earning 2nd team all conference. I also ended my season 3rd in 4A for Digs% ranging at a 4.6. I finished 1st in 4A Southwest for Dig% aswell. I have participated in team camps put on by Gold Medal Squared and Nike. I have been appointed Captain for this years varsity season. My coaches have commented that I am hardworking, coachable, and I give all my effort. I work hard in school and try to maintain all A's and B's. My parents have taught me how important education is and I try my best to keep my grades up.
