Personal Statement

Hello coaches! My name is Kate Baker and I love water polo. I have been playing for over five years, starting with the Olympic Club’s co-ed team and am now with Sleepy Hollow Aquatics (SHAQ) in the SF Bay Area. Within SHAQ, I have attended high-commitment practices and competed in the Junior Olympics three years in a row. This summer, we placed 11th in the Gold division! Academics play an important role in my life, but I also would love to continue playing water polo in college while pursuing a field in science or mathematics.
