I was convinced to play water polo my freshman year by a junior at the time. My class of 2024 had a lot of girls, and she begged us to play water polo so we could have a real team. Joining the team was the best decision I ever made. I never really fell in love with any sport, I swam, but I didn't love it, it was just what I've done since I was six. After some of the season had passed, I wanted to get better. I joined a club team, mavericks, and worked hard to get better. When the upperclassmen left, I started to step up as a leader. I was junior captain, and enjoyed helping the girls on my team that did not do club and who wanted to get better. I worked hard for my high school and club team, and started to get recognized in the first UIL season, with being on the Second All-State Team. My goal for my senior year of high school is to be on the First All-State Team. I want to be on college team, playing with girls that care about the sport just as much as I do. I want to continue to learn in college, and become a successful water polo player.
