Jayleen Sekona '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a student athlete, who values growth and development and hope to inspire other women and men to go further into their education. I am also proud to represent a culture and a country of hard-working people.  As a Tongan-American woman, I adore the idea to thrive and to show my progress as a minority in society. I wish to grow and strengthen the Polynesian community within. Lastly, I believe that I will go through obstacles that may prove difficult, but I'm excited to pursue each and every problem that comes my way. I am grateful to be a part of one of the fastest growing sports in the nation - women's wrestling -  and I hope to further my journey within the sport.
