Before I began wrestling I trained in Jiu Jitsu as well as Muay Thai. I transitioned into wrestling because it is school sanctioned and had similar characteristics as the other combat sports I had trained in. I instantly fell in love with the sport and the people involved in it. I have been wrestling for six and a half years now and have had many successes in my short career. As a 7th grader I won districts, in my freshman year of high school I placed 4th at regionals and 5th at the Colorado State Tournament. I was nominated 1st Team All Conference Wrestler for Boulder County Preps (2021-2022) team and had a record of 39-12. My sophomore year of high school I was nominated Co-Team Captain by my peers, I placed 1st at the Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament, 2nd at regionals, and 2nd at the Colorado State Tournament. During the summer of my sophomore year I did my first freestyle season, I placed 3rd at the 2023 USA Wrestling Western Regional Championships freestyle and was top 22 at Fargo Nationals. In my junior year of highschool I was voted Co-Team captain for the second time, I earned the skyview wrestling invitational girls outstanding upper weight wrestler as well as winning first place at the tournament, at the poudre invitational I earned the sportswomanship award, I was able to get my 100th win as a junior, I placed 2nd at the Northern Colorado Christmas tournament, 2nd at regionals, and 2nd at the Colorado State tournament. During the summer of my junior year I placed 2nd at the 2024 USA Regionals in Kansas, and got to the round of 16 from 235 at Fargo Nationals.
I have a 3.9 GPA, I scored 4’s in AP Government, AP US History, and AP Language Arts, and I have lettered in academics. I am also involved in leadership programs in school such as Science and Leadership.
During my time in Jazz band I was first chair and I am currently active in Show Choir, musicals, and Concert Band/Pep Band.
My wrestling goals are to rank at Fargo Nationals, become an All-American, Be a Canadian Olimpian and have a successful college level career. Academically, I want to thrive and succeed in the academic path I venture down and be able to use the knowledge I gain to not only better my own future but to help others as well. Currently I am leaning towards a major in psychology with a speciality in youth psychology and a minor in the arts.
I have always been told that I am a very coachable, positive, encouraging, humble, and kind athlete and I pride myself on these attributes.
