Kamila Castro '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kamila Castro. I created this profile as a way for any prospective coaches seeking further information to find what they need. I currently wrestle in the 152 weight class but have wrestled above my weight when my team needed me. I wrestle all year round. Folkstyle in winter and Freestyle from Spring to Fall. Summer wrestling makes winter champions is more than a cliche to me. Because of my hard work I came second in the New Jersey State Championship as a sophmore. This was only my second year wrestling but I truely put in the effort. Though the gold medal escaped me, I am confident that I will capture multiple state championships in my final highschool years. I am looking forward to building my freestyle credentials as well. I also took first in my county championship and 2nd in the regional championship all in the same year. I placed top 3 in all tournaments I was involved in. I am a hard worker and an eager learner. I work my hardest to represent my coaches and team. I feel my work ethic and hardnose style would be an asset to any wrestling program I am involved in. I want to be the one the other wrestlers and coaches talk about
