My name is Sabrina Stewart, and I am a 5’2”, 155 lb female wrestler from Gladstone, OR. Wrestling is more than just a sport to me—it’s my passion. The moment I step onto the mat, everything else fades away, and for six minutes, I feel completely free. Wrestling allows me to push my limits, live in the moment, and achieve what I know I’m capable of.
One of my proudest achievements was winning all my matches during my freshman year and qualifying for state my senior year. I was also the only female on the Gladstone High School varsity team for two years and placed 4th at the district tournament in both my freshman and sophomore years. Unfortunately, I was unable to compete my junior year due to spinal surgery, but that setback only strengthened my love for the sport and my determination to return stronger.
As I look toward my future, I am exploring a wide range of college options, with a focus on schools in the East Coast and Midwest states—but I am open to opportunities anywhere. My goal is to find a college that provides the perfect balance between academics and wrestling. Location and school size are less important to me than finding a place where I can excel both in the classroom and on the mat.
Academically, I am pursuing a double major in Business and Psychology, as I want to develop a strong foundation in both fields while continuing to compete in the sport I love. Wrestling has taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of mental toughness, and I look forward to bringing that same mindset to my college experience.
I am excited about the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to find the right college where I can continue to grow as a student, athlete, and individual.
