Vanessa Gonzalez Pliego '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Vanessa Gonzalez, and I think I am a good candidate for your team because I always strive for more and won't give up no matter how hard the situation is. Throughout my high school years, I took advantage of the opportunities my high school gave me, for example, taking concurrent enrollment classes. I graduated high school with 40 college credits. I also graduated from Salt Lake Community College in Spring of 2023 with my Associate's in Secondary Education. I now attend the University of Utah, I serve as the Organization Manager and Club President of the Wrestling Club Team. I took it upon myself to reactivate this club and reestablish the wrestling community at the University of Utah, now including Women's Wrestling. I organize events, and mentor teammates to foster a supportive and competitive environment. I would love to continue to wrestle and be part of your team, I am graduating in Spring of 2026 with my Bachelor's in Health and Physical Education. I plan to get my master's in sports management.
