Nate Fousel '16 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals include earning a degree that associates my love of athletics (I also play football and baseball) with business, wrestling at a D1 college by being an asset in the wrestling room and under the lights. I am a good candidate for the team because I am a diligent worker who will work to earn a spot on the team, I'm a state champion but realize that a college room is a level above that and I'm aware I'll take my share of beatings before I give them. I've really grown to love the sport of wrestling and I want to continue my passion by pursuing greatness by living and breathing it in a cultured college wrestling environment. I'm different from other recruits in character by being a leader who leads by example, being a disciplined, dedicated, responsible, hardworking student-athlete, providing service by giving back to youth wrestling, and being ambitious to achieve greatness; in athletics, I am a 3 sport athlete (wrestling, football, baseball) but I have grown to love wrestling and I still manage to work hard and improve by lifting weights, getting mat time, and attending camps in the off-season. I'm also a state champion at 195 lbs and a 2014 JRob Intensive Camp graduate as a junior so I still have another year to work towards my goal of all-American/National Champion; in academics, I've learned the hard way how important academics are and have since adjusted my study ethics and excelled in AP courses (earning a 5 on one of the AP tests last year), I've taken the SAT but haven't received scores yet and will take it, along with the ACT, again. I plan on finishing with an accumulated GPA ~3.7 (my school doesn't weigh GPA with AP classes).
