Hi, my name is Samuel "Sam" Blevins. I am currently a senior at Lamar County Comprehensive High School in Barnesville, Georgia. I have been wrestling since 5th grade. Despite having 4 different coaches in 4 years, I have qualified for State over the last three years. I placed 5th at State. I feel like wrestling completely changed my life. Before I started wrestling, I had a hard time staying focused and I struggled with anxiety. Wrestling has given me a way to release my stress and a way to keep myself grounded. I've learned that I might not always win, but I will always grow from each opportunity I'm given.  I'm hoping to one day to become a coach myself so I can give back what has been given to me. I feel like I still have lots of room to continue learn in a collegiate wrestling program and that someone will give me the chance to make them proud.
