I am a 17 year old senior at Perspectives Charter Leadership Academy, located on the south side of Chicago, IL. I am currently an A, B, C, student with a gpa of 2.5. I have been wrestling since I was nine years old. I started at the park district where I learned the basics and grew to enjoy the sport. Especially when I won. I have tried a few different sports as well such as football, track, baseball, gymnastics/tumbling and All-star cheerleading. I continued wrestling in middle school during 7th grade. I was pretty good that I won 2015 Chicago JA City Wrestling Championship (11-6). I was a freshmen wrestling on the Varsity team at Simeon HighSchool. I went to state that year even though I didn’t win but it was an experience I will not forget. It has made me more excited for the next three years to come. I have been told that I have the heart for this sport because I never give up. Regardless if I win or lose I learn from my mistakes and grow to be a better wrestler and person. Once I graduate I would love to attend a four-year college or university that offers business/hospitality management and culinary arts and of course wrestling. I accomplished 1 of my goals which was to place in the state tournament this year. I placed 6th place and I'm proud to end my senior year that way. I'm willing to put in the work to be the best and learn from the best.
