Theodore Ward '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

My name is Theodore Ward and I’ve been wrestling for 4 years at Ramstein American High School for the Department of Defense Education Activity in Germany. Currently, I am a 2x All European Division "State" Champion for the 220 and 285 lbs categories respectively. I am looking to Wrestle in college at the197 or 285lbs. weight classes. Wrestling means very much to me, and I put all I have into the sport, my academics, and my team. I’ve strived to become a leader as well as humble myself every day to become the best me, I can be.

As a wrestler and a 2 year, Team Captain at Ramstein High School, I have been focused on the Student part of the Student-Athlete as well as the Athletics part. This is important for me because, great performance on and off the mat creates good leadership qualities and also will bring good opportunities in life. As a wrestler, I have had to learn things about myself that I didn’t know before. I would like to prove some of these hard-earned characteristics at the collegiate level because I know that not everyone has what it takes to succeed in wrestling and in life. I would also like to prove my leadership skills to the entirety of the program and my new team. I am the one that embraces the hard work, and I am determined to succeed, overcoming any obstacle with my team by my side and you leading the charge.  I would love to join you and my new team this fall as a new Freshman in the Wrestling program.
