Hi coaches. My name is Will Seydel, i currently wrestle at the 113 pound weight class, my freshman and my sophomore years i was at 103. My freshman year i went 32-7, 27 of the wins were by pin. I also recieved the Freshman of the Year award which was voted on by my teammates. My sophomore year i was a state qualifier, district and sectional champion, and a runner up at conference. I went 41-9 and had 27 pins. I am currently a junior and have already recieved my 100th carrer victory. Over the summer between my sophomore and junior year I attended the J Robinson 28 day Intensive camp and i got the I did It shirt. Ever since i started the sport of wrestling, I've wanted to do it in college. I always had this dream that i would be one of the guys people saw as a wrestler and have them think to themselves 'That guy is a champion.' I fell in love with the sport the minute I started it. I got note home in my little friday folder that the school gave us and it said to come out and try wrestling. I thought sure, I'll give it a shot. And after a few practices I knew, this is what I wanted to do.
I would like going to school some were in the Great Plains or the Moutain Range states. I would love going there because it wouldn't be too close to home, but it wouldn't be far enough away were if something family related happend, I could get home in a day.
Im looking for a school were it offers the classes I want to take and offers me a plan so i can have a carrer after Im done wrestling and with school and will set me up for my plans after school. I am open to anything.
My desired majors are Journalism and a minor in English.
My athletic goals are to be a varsity starter my freshman year, and to contribute to the team anyway possible. And also be a team leader at such a young age and as a freshman.
