My name is Aiden Behnken I’m 15 and currently a freshman at Bardstown High School in Kentucky. In a few short days OCT. 15th to be exact I will start my 7th season wrestling. It's weird how fast time fly's sometimes, to think that I've been wrestling now for 7 years. This will also be my 3rd season wrestling on the varsity team. The love that I hold for this Sport, has truly only got stronger and stronger thru the years. I really couldn't imagine myself not wrestling anymore. I mean sure somedays are hard and trying, but that is what help me to grow and become stronger. Last year I was a State Qualifier at 106, I may not have placed but I stay humble and look forward to this season. I work well and get along with my teammates and classmates. My coaches and teachers would say that I am coachable, hardworking and for the most part easygoing.
I try to give 110% every practice, every meet and every tournament that's just who I am. I'm always willing to learn new technique and new moves. The more I know the better of a wrestler I am. I will try any move on the mat that my coach tells me to do. I love learning new moves because I want to improve my overall skill and hope to gain as much knowledge of this sport because I know that a higher IQ of this sport will give me an advantage over my opponents. My first season on the varsity team as a seventh grader I went 19-4. Last season I went 29-11 as an eighth grader, and placed 4th at regionals. Got to go to state but unfortunately did not place.
As much as I love wrestling, I know that being a student is my first priority. I prioritize learning and I work hard in the classroom. Almost as hard as I do on the mat. Not only do I give it 110% in the wrestling room, but I also give 110% in the classroom. I value my teachers just as much as I do my coaches. My discipline and work ethic helps me improve not only as a wrestler but as a student as well. I have great sportsmanship, and I stay humble (my dad taught me that).
My goal is to Wrestle in college as well as to continue my education. I hope to learn more about your program and your team.
Thank you for your consideration.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Aiden L. Behnken
