My high school career record is 157-15.
This season I won my second Maryland State Championship, finishing my high school career with 157 wins, which places me in a tie for Fifth All Time in Maryland Public School history for career wins. (MPSSAA ( http://www.mpssaa.org/wintersports/wrestling )) My personal record was 44-2 this season, with twenty pins, three tech falls, four major decision, eight decisions, nine forfeits and two losses.
Last season, I ended my junior year with a record of 43-2: twenty-one pins, five tech falls, three major decisions, eight decisions, six forfeits and two losses. I am right hand dominate and I tore my right elbow ulna ligament defending against a take down in the first period of my state semi-final match, which I lost 11-9 in OT. However, I wrestled back for a third place finish in the 113lb weight class using only my left arm. I lost my ability to use my high crotch, my cradle, cross face, wizar with my right arm for my final eight periods of wrestling. I could not touch my nose with my right hand and my right grasp was all but gone. You can see my third place match (consolation finals) at the following link and notice that I do not use my right arm above my waist: http://mpssaa.playonsports.com/events/53164 I am the second match on this video. I was in a cast for four weeks following states and got it off April first. I was released April 29th, 2013 by my orthopedic doctor to resume athletic competition. I took my SAT earlier in November 2013 and scored: Reading - 530; Math - 480 and Essay - 490; 1010 Reading/Math or 1500 total. I attended some great wrestling camps this summer at Messiah and at Edinboro (Fighting Scot camp). In addition, I have had eight session of strength and conditioning by a certified trainer. As a result of my injury, I did not get to participate in Junior Nationals at Virginia Beach. or Fargo this summer. I joined the cross country team this fall and we took 2nd at the Maryland 1A Championships. This was my first year running and was awarded, "Best New Runner" at our recent banquet. My fastest 5K was 20:03 which is not spectacular but for a smaller built wrestler....not bad. I was happy with our team results and my performance.
