Winning the Maryland State Championship and finishing the season with a undefeated record is ,for now, the biggest highlight of my high school career. I say "for now" because there's always another level you can build up to and that's what makes you different from the next guy that wants it. Never playing a sport until freshman year really seem to have me at a disadvantage, I picked up easily and became a fast learner with the people around me that supported me and it got me to qualify for regions. Starting on the varsity team as a freshman really shaped me into sophomore year and then I became a leader. I ended up being a 2 time County Champion over the 2nd and 3rd year of my high school career.
Sophomore year I fell short being the runner up for the Region Championship. It started a fire that grew throughout Junior year, Junior year I was a man on a mission and I did not let no one stop me from winning states. To many Sacrifices were made for me in order to compete at that level. The amount of work I have put in has rewarded because i have been granted Wrestler of the Year for the Capital Gazette. When competing at this level, I have learned one thing "having potential just means you haven't earned it yet" . In these last 3 years I've learned that every second and every inch and every step counts and you want to put 220% in every second in order to be elite. I want to find that level that will shift me into top tier and challenge me athletically and comfort me academically. As being a two time starting athlete in football it taught me to value teamwork and to execute when needed.
