Joseph Beck '21 Recruiting Profile

COK All-American (3rd PLace). 2x State Qualifer As a Junior. Class of 2021. Lost a super close match in the 2nd round wrestle backs 3-0 to an opponent who ended up taking 4th place in the state tournament (Christian Cartwright). Christian ended up losing in his 3rd place match 6-4 to an opponent ranked 2nd in the state. Another close match I had was at 2019 Fall Brawl, I lost a super close match in overtime 8-6 to a 3x state champion (Paul Garcia), He was also on the Fargo National Team.  Someof my  signifigant wins are beating a state placer and also beating a district champion. I started wrestling when I was 5 years old and I have a deep love for the sport. I love the technical side, the grit, and the determination and discipline you must have to be great. I plan on being around wrestling my whole life, I want to wrestle in college and after college I want to coach wrestling. In my free time I study for school and watch Russian Wrestling videos to study their technique and for enjoyment. I also watch College and American Wrestling Videos. My Favorite American Wrestler is Yianni Diakomihalis. I have learned a LOT of his technique and his mentality. Overall I hope to wrestle in college, And I love wrestling.
