Colton Martello '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to wrestle at the highest level.  I also want a good start towards my doctorate in sports medicine.  I want to win a National Championship.  I also will provide my team the support that we need as a whole to win a Championship.  I am a good candidate because I am a hard worker in the room and I'm always finding ways to push myself not just in physical athletics.  I know wrestling also requires hard work and effort in mental toughness and preparation. I am also very coachable.

What makes me stand out from the rest is that I am a great team leader by always helping teammates with technique and leading by example.  An example is how at state when I won I didn't do anything special like a backflip, I walked off treating it just like another match.  I believe sportsmanship, class, and respect are an important part of wrestling.
