My name is Akshaj Kammari and I'm looking forward to further my wrestling career in college. I first set foot on the mats my freshman year of high school, and have grown to love the sport ever since. Throughout my time in the sport thus far, I've wrestled in a variety of weight classes and have found myself in many different situations mid-match, but have always learned to do better my second time around, which earned me my Most Improved Player award. I play soccer as a goalkeeper on the varsity level, which helps me stay in shape during the off-season. Although wrestling is a fairly independent sport, I find it important to maintain good relationships with my teammates and coaches, and by the end of a season with a new team, I couldn't be closer with them. Off of the mats, I do my best to be a great student, friend, teammate, brother, and son. My goal for the next 4 years is to get my degree in Computer Science and be involved in a wrestling program while doing so.
