Jack Bastarrika '23 Recruiting Profile

I am 16 year old Junior in high school and I am beginning to search for a University that will allow me to continue to grow academically and athletically. I do not come from a wrestling family.  I brought a wrestling flyer home when I was in kindergarten and asked my parents to sign me up.  They showed me a YouTube video just to make sure I knew what I was getting into. 

 I love to wrestle and I want to be a key contributor on a wrestling team.  Whether as a starter or back up I will give 100% every day, I will be a good partner in the room, I will represent the team honorably outside of the gym and I will strive to be the best student athlete that I can be.    

I placed in the NJ State Tournament as a Sophomore and I will continue to pursue a State Championship.  I am striving for the opportunity to attend a top notch academic institution where as a student athlete I can contribute to my team and become a well rounded and productive member of society.
