My name is Logan McDermid, and I’m a senior at Hillsborough High School in New Jersey. For the past three years, I’ve wrestled on the Varsity team at 106 lbs, but this upcoming season I aim to compete at 120 lbs. My goal is to continue wrestling at the next level and excel both athletically and academically.
I’ve been wrestling since I was six, and the sport has taught me valuable lessons, both on and off the mat. It would be an honor to compete in a highly competitive program, guided by coaches who challenge their athletes to reach their full potential. I’m dedicated to challenging myself every day to become the best wrestler I can be, while proudly representing my team both on and off the mat.
Throughout my high school career, I’ve been a NJSIAA state qualifier, Somerset County Champion, District Champion, Region 3rd place finisher, 2x 3rd Team All-Area Central NJ, 2nd Team All-Conference Delaware Division, and went 2-2 at FARGO. Academically, I’ve maintained a 94.7 GPA while taking numerous AP-weighted courses. As an athlete, I have big goals in wrestling, but I’m also focused on achieving my long-term life goals.
