My name is Logan McDermid. I’m a Junior this year at Hillsborough High School in New Jersey, and I wrestle for the Varsity team at 106. I’m looking to wrestle at the next level and succeed both in the sport of wrestling and academically.
I started wrestling when I was six years old and I’ve learned so much about the sport and life since I started. I would be honored to wrestle for a competitive program that is led by coaches who will push their athletes to be the best they can be. I will push myself every day to become the best wrestler I can be and I will represent the team pridefully outside of the wrestling mat.
Last season, I finished 3rd in Region 5 and I punched my ticket to the NJSIAA State Championships in Atlantic City, NJ. Also, I was awarded Third Team All-Area in Central Jersey and I finished off the year with a 37-7 record (60-17 Varsity total). This current season, I won the Somerset County Tournament. Lastly, academically I do very well in maintaining a 94 GPA. As an athlete, I have many goals within the sport, but I also have life goals that I will strive to conquer.
