I am ambitious, driven, and committed to succeed in every aspect of my life. One would categorize myself as a typical type-A personality, willing to do what it takes to be successful. I apply this to my academic and scholastic goals as well as my athletic aspirations. I am proud to have earned a Varsity letter in wrestling since Freshman year of high school, despite having taken two years in my youth career to pursue other sports--something I was relentless in achieving. My career in wrestling began at seven years old as I knew I wanted to earn success not only as a team but as an individual. That is one of the aspects of this sport that is a key draw for me. I am being measured not only on my individual achievement but also my contributions to the overall team. Winning is not only the ultimate but is necessary to success. Academics is also important to me as I know that it will take me through my life's goals. I am planning to study pre-law and have as a goal to progress onto law school to be an attorney. Much of the discipline required in wrestling I have applied in my academics. It is a mirror image of what I plan to do for the rest of my life. It is a model of an adversary against me and I must be the victor. I understand the rules to success, welcome the challenge, and want to earn my achievements. I possess the fortitude, persistence, and dedication to do what it takes to win. I believe I would be an asset to a College/University in that I hold myself to the highest standards of both academic and athletic accomplishment. It is a balance that I am driven to attain.
