Personal Statement

UPDATE:  Total Career wins 100 ... 2014-2015 season I went 44-7 with 33 pins, 3 major decisions and 3 techs. I am a State Qualifier and achieved All-Section honors. I also won the Patriot Invitational & Clarkstown North Tournament and went 9-0 in the RCK Mat Wars pinning a Section 1 finalist from last year in the process. I finished in 2nd place (with one loss) in the Section One Sectionals at 145. During the season I also competed against and beat #1 ranked Section 1 opponents at 152lbs.

My goal is to wrestle, compete and excel on the collegiate level. I believe that I have the work ethic and the determination to do so. You should know that I am the youngest person in my high school class. Therefore, I have a greater potential for improvement than many wrestlers I face off against. Furthermore, I am always trying to maximize my skills. Even in the off-season I work with multiple coaches to assist me toward this end. Finally, my record was essentially compiled in the last two years, since I did not wrestle my Freshman year due to an injury. In the past two years I compiled a record of 56 and 19 with 33 pins, 3 major decisions and 2 techs in my past two seasons. So far this year you can see how I'm doing in the above update. I am and All-Section wrestler and I am currently ranked first in Section 1. My off-season record is even more impressive, with several championships and high placements in prestigious tournaments. Finally grappling is my life. Even when I am not wrestling, I compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and have won national and international tournaments like the Pan Ams. I believe I would be an asset to any collegiate wrestling program.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
