What makes be different than any other wrestler is my non stop work ethic. Unlike most wrestlers who have been wrestling most of their lives i started much later. I started in 9th grade just 3 short years ago, and i was hooked on the sport instantly. I finished my 9th grade season 7-10. Many people told me for a first time wrestler that was good, but i was not satisfied with it. In my mind even as a first year wrestler i have always had in my mind that i wanted to be the best. Since then i joined a local club team called Ascend. I have been going their almost every day for about 3 years straight. Constantly working and watching film of old wrestling matches to get me better. I went to as many off season tournaments as I to get as good as I possibly could.
This past summer I decided that i would attend the 28 day J Robinson summer camp to improve my wrestling skills. This was perhaps the hardest thing i have ever accomplished. I learned many things from this camp, but the most important thing I learned is how to work hard. I have been working as hard as i could for the past 3 years to get to where I am today. I don't ever wanna look back at my high school career and think i could have done better if i just worked little harder. As a result this past season I took 3rd in the Ridge Field challenge in Connecticut; I took 4th in my league tournament due to injury, and then I took 4th place in the Ny Chsaa state tournament. Making myself an all state wrestler amongst all the catholic schools in New York State. As a direct result I helped lead my team in winning a league tittle and a Chsaa state tittle. Taking 4th is not what I wanted, nor does it make me happy. Im confident that my hard work will pay off for next season. I have ever intention of standing on the top of the podium when next February comes.
