Lucas Johnson '21 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations include my intense desire to continue my wrestling career.  I feel that I'm hitting my stride and I am not ready to stop wrestling.  Given the chance I will continue on the path of reaching my full potential.  I gave my all on the mat, every year I wrestled, not only because I want to win and because I hate losing but because I am a team player and leader.  I like to lead by example and that includes never giving up.  Comradery is essential to success.

I am a very tough wrestler, and never quit giving effort during a match, no matter how much I'm down or up by.  My best position is either top or bottom - I am versatile and not afraid to put it all out there.  On top I ride very tough with the tight waist.  My mentality when on bottom  is that I will escape, no matter what.

As a boy Scout working toward attaining the rank of Eagle I know first hand the importance of character both on the mat and off.   The meaning of what it is to be a good citizen, friend, family member and team member.   While my academics are very good, I think my physical gifts are what separates me from the other recruits.
