Nick Zins '26 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to continue both my academic and athletic career at a college/university that provides the best combination of preferred major, wrestling competition, campus experience, and culture.

I started wrestling in the 4^th grade, and from that time I have continued to develop my passion and skills for the sport.  I was brought to the varsity level during my 8^th grade year, which was a great opportunity to gain exposure to my team and the level of competition. During my 9^th grade year, I became a varsity starter finishing my season with a record of 33-9, a league championship, and placing 4^th in our county championship at 152lbs. During my 10^th grade year, I was elected team captain and was named to the Newsday Top 100 Wrestlers on Long Island New York. I finished my year 36-8, with a league championship, and placing 5^th in our county championship at 170lbs. Unfortunately during my junior year I was unable to compete due to injury, however I am now recovered and plan to start wrestling again this offseason.  I also compete and train on a year-round basis with my club (ProEx in Islip Terrace, NY) through multiple regional and national tournaments.

I have been a starting varsity football player at the position of linebacker since 9^th grade. During my junior year I was elected team captain, helped lead our team to a Big 4 title, and was voted team MVP, All-Division, and All-Region. 

I am a very dedicated and disciplined student-athlete who is willing to put in the work and sacrifice to make both my team and myself successful.
