I’ve been wrestling for 8 years, and at first I didn’t have much success. I knew that to be better it required more time and effort than my competition. So I started putting in the work. I've attended the 28-day JROB Intensive camp (earned the coveted black “I did it” shirt), five weeks of Jeff Jordan’s State Champ Camp, and the Daniel Cormier Mid Cals Wrestling camp. I was elected Captain by teammates as an acknowledgement of my hard work in the practice room. I have qualified for state 3 times and was top 8 in the state last year. I had a slow start academically, but have improved to a 3.27 out of a 4.0 GPA while taking IB and college courses. My wrestling goal for this year is to qualify for and win a state title. My long term goal is to become a high school history teacher and wrestling coach so that I can give back to the sport that has given so much to me.
