Jacob Cherry '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jacob Cherry and one of my dreams is to wrestle in college.

I started wrestling in second grade and at first it wasn't my thing because I wasn't good.  I stuck with it and worked hard and I eventually grew to love the sport and the bonds I have with my team mates. What makes me different is my capacity for work and resiliency.  As a Gettysburg wrestler I think we have some of the hardest and most demanding practices in the state and if not the country.  I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had so far and I want to continue my wrestling in college.  Coach Haines demands the very best, and I strive for that in what I do. This year my goal is to qualify for states and win a couple of matches while I'm there, and help lead my team to getting top 4 in the state of PA.
